The Devil’s Diorama
Showing Sunday 1 July 2018 – Wednesday 31 October 2018
The Devil’s Diorama showcases a selection of images from the extensive, personal project of Tasmanian Photographer Heath Holden to capture the life of the elusive and endangered Tasmanian devil, (Sarcophilus harrisii). Beginning in 2012, this project has become an obsession for Heath who continues to fine tune his camera trapping techniques, using infrared technology in the devil’s natural habitat, to produce cinematic scenes of nature. Work from this project has been published nationally and internationally, including in National Geographic Magazine in the Canon Global campaign “Wildlife As Canon Sees It”. Now, for the first time in exhibition, Heath presents his favourite images from the collection, taking us into the world of this Tasmanian icon as it has never been seen before.
