Tastings & Group Visits

The Cradle Mountain Wilderness Gallery is open seven days a week to all visitors to the Cradle Mountain area and if you’re touring by yourself, as a couple, with a small group or a large group, we welcome you to call in and see our magnificent collection of wilderness-inspired art.

If you are traveling with a group however, we can offer you a few extra options to ensure your visit is even more special.  We have complimentary honey tastings available to all visitors but if you’re visiting with a group, let us know in advance and we can make sure one of our team is available to host your tasting and provide a local’s insight into the regions from which our different honeys come.  We can also provide different tastings on request, giving your group the opportunity to sample some of the gourmet delights we offer in our gift shop.

A Curator or Manager’s tour through the Gallery is an experience that we extend to our visiting groups. All visitors are provided with a Gallery map that offers some excellent interpretation of the current exhibitions but to extend that interpretation with a guided tour by one of our team is an excellent experience. Depending on the artist we have in residence at the time, you may also enjoy the opportunity to chat with them and learn about their time working in the Cradle Mountain Wilderness Gallery.

Of course, if you are visiting the Cradle Mountain Wilderness Gallery with a group, you can also take advantage of the recently renovated Altitude Restaurant + Lounge Bat at Cradle Mountain Hotel, offering all-day dining and group menu options to all visiting groups.

If you are planning on visiting and are looking for things to do at Cradle Mountain, don’t look past a visit to the Cradle Mountain Wilderness Gallery as one of your activities.
