An Experience Centre at Cradle Mountain
The Cradle Mountain Wilderness Gallery is located at Cradle Mountain Hotel, just minutes from the boundary of one of Tasmania’s most famous and most treasured national parks, the Cradle Mountain – Lake St. Clair National Park.
There are so many things to do at Cradle Mountain, including walking the trails, canyoning with Cradle Mountain Canyons, scenic flights with Cradle Mountain Helicopters, quad-biking, horse riding and more. We offer an activity that you can enjoy alongside these activities, or one that you can enjoy indoors if perhaps the weather is not cooperating or if you are less inclined to take on some of the more adrenalin-fuelled experiences at the destination.
Between the newly redeveloped Cradle Mountain Wilderness Gallery and the extensively renovated Cradle Mountain Hotel and Altitude Restaurant + Lounge Bar, you have access to an experience centre that will ensure you enjoy your visit to Cradle Mountain, regardless of the weather or your appetite for adventure.
Cradle Mountain Hotel offers sixty accommodation rooms under one roof, each with a private Juliet balcony and many of which overlook the alpine woodland that surrounds the hotel. The recently renovated Altitude Restaurant + Lounge Bar welcomes all visitors for all-day dining in a contemporary but casual setting in the mountains. What better place to kick back and enjoy a whisky or wine tasting in front of the open fire?
Wander the Gallery where you have a chance of meeting and chatting with one of our resident artists and don’t forget to enjoy a complimentary honey tasting while you’re in the gift shop, browsing quality Tasmanian produce and art.
