Artworks: Large ‘peppers ghost’ installation in the Tiger Room
Darryl Rogers is a Tasmanian artist who is using technology to produce his artwork. He uses his traditional design and creative skills as the foundation, and then works with teams of technicians to produce unconventional and intriguing installations and experiences.
His work is the foundation for the Tiger Room with a hand built stage, holographic film and soundscape all helping to create a sense of the Tasmanian bush and the mystery of the Thylacine. This artists’ impression adds to the intensity of this room and sets the tone that helps to create such a magical and emotive space.
Darryl also designed the mural that runs along the hallway of the entire gallery as well as many of the interpretive panels.
